max, why not go to the beach and look for a piece? not only will it be unique to your own environment, but it's kinda fun to look. you could even go to a swamp or lake or stream or other body of water.

i plan on going this weekend to the beach =] pick up some cool shells as well, i just havent had the time, been working 40+ hours for the last 2 months since i am on summer break, been really tired trying to pay for college + 1month trip to italy greece or philippines =[ been over working myself

but this weekend!!! my boss is giving me off so i am going to go to the beach !!!!

Malaysian DW is good and pretty cheap. Manzanita.com has some really cool stuff, a little more pricey though.
