Azolla, a floating water fern that quickly soaks up nitrate and ammonia. If you want a good low tech plant filter, this is the best plant to have. Will grow in any freshwater conditions, habitat. Ponds or aquariums.

Duckweed
$2.00 per cup full, handfull. Tiny floating leaves that cover the surface with dangling roots about an inch long. Sucks up excess nutrients, food for goldfish, carp, and koi. Provides cover for fry.
