Wanted: Seeding media for tank cycle in NYC/Long Island area

I have asked my LFS and Petco in my area for some seeding media, but they both said no. I am looking for anything to put in my 40b to make the fishless cycle go faster. I have a Eheim 2217 canister filter that I can put anything in, or I can just put stuff in the tank. Anything would be helpful.

I live in Astoria, Queens, but I can travel to pick stuff up. Can anyone in the area help me out?
