Advice for locating all your inverts

I'm going to be changing my substrate tomorrow. Anyone have any tips for finding all your shrimp so you don't toss any out/bury them? I was going to net all the fish, shrimp and snails out but then I realized I never see more than one shrimp at a time lol.

I think I only have a few amano left so should I just net what I see and hope the rest are on the driftwood and plants?

Oh and it's a 50 gallon community not a shrimp tank if that wasn't implied.

Just an idea, feed them with flake food and algea wafers and see how many of them appear...

I'll give that a try after I net out the fish. They usually hide when lights are on. I'll have to try pellets they never took to flake food even when I had them in an empty 10 gallon to grow a bit. Even then they actually preferred blanched peas over the food lol. Go figure

So I got lucky and I caught them all in the open before lights on lol.

Took 3 hours but it was so worth it. Loving the look of the eco compared to the pfs I had. Couldn't believe how much of a pain taking sand out was compared to putting it in!
