Hi All this is my first thread. I was given a blueiq as a gift and I found this forum while researching care for the neocaridina shrimp in the system.

The blueiq has great reviews online, but they are mostly from new users who seem to have little aquarium/invert experience. I can't seem to find a review (good or bad) from anyone with a long term experience keeping one of these systems.

My common sense is telling me that keeping these shrimp in a vase with no filtration/circulation can't be ideal for them. I bought a fluval spec with the intention of transferring them to that, but they seem to be doing well in the blueiq now and I am concerned that changing their entire environment may do more harm than good.

So, I guess my question is two part:
1) Does anyone here have an opinion/experience on keeping neos in a blueiq setup?
2) If I do need to move them to another tank, what is the best method to minimize the stress/shock to them?

Thanks in advance for any advice!
