CPO (Mexican dwarf crayfish)

I just got 4 CPOs at my LFS. One is berried. She dropped an egg while in the bag. I put her in a half gallon container and hung it on my tank. There are fish in the tank the others went into and I wanted to be able to keep the babies safe once they hatch. Should I give her some Java moss? They all seem very active!

Also, how long should she be pregnant? She seems to have around 15 eggs right now.

I went ahead and have her lots of Java moss. I noticed she has around 6 eggs now. I don't see any eggs on the bottom of the container though...

Mine had eggs for about 3 weeks or so before she dropped.

I just got her yesterday so I'm not sure how long she's been berried. Are there any signs to tell how long she's been berried or that she will drop soon?

They start looking the color of newborns.

Awesome. One of mine is berried again as well, and I've seen 3 or 4 little CPOs at a time so I'm hoping there are probably twice as many in the tank.

They most likely will unfortunately.

Yeah that's what I figured.. I won't if I would put her in my betta fry tank..? They are 2 months old and are still tiny. Just don't want her to bother the fry.

The fry should be smart enough to get out of the way, but either way i thnk they'd have a better chance there than in a tank with adult fish who will pick them all off immediately.
