Dead snail question

One of my nerite snails died sometimes in the last 1.5 weeks. I changed my water and he was alive last week. When I went to change it today his body was already out of his shell, I could not find the body anywhere! I have two muster snails and a Betta, is it possible someone ate it? Itís a wonder none of my fish died in my tank from that.

Certainly probable that the body was eaten
Snails, fish and shrimp will eat up dead stuff. In my own tank a dead snail body has disappeared overnight.
