Basically just what the heading says. I recently got 2 baby Mystery Snails. There are a bunch of diatoms in the tank and I have been leaving the plants leaves that die in there for a while. I just want to make sure they do actually eat diatoms and I am not accidentally starving them or something. They have been in for a week or so and seem good so far but I just wnat to be sure.

Any other help would be great too I have never kept mystery snails.

Yes they can but you need to be feeding them too, i feed mine algae wafers, shrimp pellets, blanched cucumber, spinach, kale and peas ( not all at once though! ) i also add cuttlebone to my tanks to help their shells :)
