Dwarf Crayfish or Shrimp

I hope I will eventually have a free 10 gallon aquarium sitting around and I am thinking about either making it a shrimp tank or have a few Dwarf Crayfish. Which do you think are better? Which one is easier? Which are more fun?

Definitely go with shrimp. I've had dwarf crayfish enough times to know that they don't last long. They are bred for their colors, which results in weak genetics. They'll live for 6-8 months and then just die on you, nothing wrong with the water. Ask anyone who's had them.
Shrimp are so much easier, breed easily and you can have a lot more of them.

Any particular kind that are easy. I was looking at Crystal Reds. They will be put in a 10 gallon is that big enough?

Try starting with RCS.
Crystal Reds (CRS) are more delicate.
You can add CRS with RCS later, they won't interbreed.
