Feeding the baby assassins

I am thinking of introducing some pond snails procured from fellow-hobbyists to feed the assassins. However I have so far been reluctant since I do not want any other pest to hitch a ride in my tank.
Is there any way to ensure no other pests are inadvertently introduced?
