Hello! I recently discovered a neighbor who has a mulberry tree and shared some leaves with me. No spraying as she feeds them to her silk worms. I have been feeding the dried mulberry leaves to my shrimp for years and thought they would love the fresh. Washed them well, blanched for 1 minute. I put the leaf in last night. Checked it out this morning but so far no interest? Does it take them a while to figure out it’s a new food?

They have definitely warmed up to them. The snails finished off the first one. I added a few more smalls and NOW the shrimp wanted to know what’s going on.

We have a neighborhood Facebook group where I posted looking to see if anyone had a tree. 5 blocks away. I washed and let them air dry. Then vacuum sealed and froze. Should last me a while.
