Ghost Shrimp Compatibility

Has anyone kept ghost shrimp with boesemani rainbows? Mine are small (1-2 inches) right now, but you never know if they will go after the shrimp. Will the rainbows eat or harass the shrimp or will they be fine?

I have a planted tank, I tried to add 15 ghost shrimp to my existing boesmani at the time I only had those a platy and some rasboras in that tank. Within a couple days I was left with two shrimp those 2 lasted another 6 months or so.

I figure the boesmani are the only possible culprits.

Were your boesemani big enough to fit the shrimp in their mouths? Or did he torture them to death? If it was a case of bullying, the outcome could vary with different fish.

They for sure chased the shrimp they were pretty small about 1.5-2 inch each. I am not sure how they killed them but more then once I witnessed them eating shrimp. I've had great luck with Amano shrimp (traded them for a ram) and currently I have bamboo shrimp without any issues

I have 6 and pretty sure all I them ate ghost shrimp
