I've had my RCS tank set up for some time, and the RCS themselves have been in it for two weeks.

One of the berried female's eggs are hatching and I have babies swimming around.

Today, I noticed the tank overrun with snails! This was not the case just yesterday. How fast do these things grow? Before yesterday I hadn't seen one, and I haven't introduced anything new in two weeks.

Please help me identify the snail so I can do some research!

(Also, notice copepods at the same time. Or daphnia. Weird things for a newbie. Freaked me out.)

Help identifying snail in red cherry shrimp tank

Just yesterday, there was not a snail to be found in my tank. And today? I could count probably thirty!!

They're quite small. The tank has been cycled for a month and RCS in it for two weeks (berried female's eggs just started hatching today, yay!)

Noticed the snails and copepods for the first time. (Thank you research.)

But I'm not sure if this snail is a pond snail, or what it is.
Please help so I can research! Also, any advice is welcome.

Looks like a pond snail. I have them in my shrimp tank with no worries.

The copepods may be a problem. You really need a photo of them and a good written description.
