A few ways.
On a computer, go to a site like imgur and upload the picture. On imgur, you can just drag the picture over to it.
Click on the uploaded picture and it'll give you options. One will say BBCode (message boards and forums) it'll look something like this:
When you put that code into your post you'll get your picture.
And I have a VERY weird looking shrimp.
Alternatively, on a computer, you can upload a picture by clicking "go advanced" and you'll see a little paperclip at the top like you see on email. That will allow you to upload an attachment directly into the post. Like below.

On the phone app you can use the camera icon to take a picture or the paper clip icon to attach an image just like on the computer.
