I found a small snail in my tank (must have snuck in on "snail free" plants) and I think it is either a pond or bladder snail but cant figure out how to tell the difference. Tips?
I read that if it is in fact a bladder snail that they need two snails to reproduce. Is this true?
Final question: If it is a pond snail can I keep it and control the population through not overfeeding?

If it is a pond snail if you want to keep two or three put a piece of lettuce in they will be attracted to it and just throw about the babies and keep the ones you want

I raise both types of snails as a food source for my crayfish. If you every thought about getting a cray, you're in business. They eat them shell and all. Marble crayfish are easy to take care of and don't bother fish that are not bottom dwellers.
