I've never owned any invertebrates before, but in the next couple of weeks I'm thinking of adding a single nerite snail to my 28 gallon community.

What I did for the last fish is after acclimating them, I gave them a bath with a few drops methylene blue for 20 minutes, then added them to the tank.

Should I do something similar for the snail or any shrimp I get int the future? Or different meds? Just don't wanna poison the little guys whenever I get them.

I've never had a snail transmit anything to my tank. Or a shrimp for that matter. Not sure if MB will kill them or not.
