Hi all,
Just set up a shrimp tank a month ago, 1.5g nanotank, and the females I introduced were berried, only hatching two days ago! There are baby shrimp everywhere, however my tetra whisper 3i filter is too powerful and dont want it sucking up all the shrimp, any ideas? I dont think i can attach a prefilter? Should i turn off the filter until they grow, the tank is planted?

Welcome to the forum.

Do NOT turn your filter off. That will crash your cycle.

If a prefilter sponge won't fit, try taking unused stocking material and tieing it on.

Why not get an aquaclear sponge and maybe hotglue it to the grill for the filter intake on the powerhead.

Could the sponge be placed underneath the intake zone if its a snug fit? There is only 2-3inches to play with
