Red shrimp habitat

The friendliest place on the web for anyone with an interest in aquariums or fish keeping!
If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
If you really want to see your Shrimp AND the babies only fish should be Otos.

Any other fish will eat the babies. You'll still have some survive, but the babies hide.

I regret adding other fish. They are lovely, but I miss seeing the babies.

A 10g is fine for up to 100 RCS. I started with 15 RCS and before I added fish I had probably 80 Shrimp. They breed easily in planted tanks.

There is a lot of information already on the forum. Read Freshwater Inverts posts.

They're quite easy to keep and breed. I'd suggest a minimum of 5 gallons if you're new to shrimp, but 10 gallons would be better. Use a sponge filter or cover the intake of whatever filter you use.

In the future, you're a lot more likely to get replies if you post a thread asking specific questions.
