I was thinking about stocking my 5 gallon tank with inverts I was wondering what are some nice shrimp I could put in it. Also could I put in snails with them or some neon tetras, guppies, etc.

No fish. Too small. RCS are best.

If it's heavily planted you might be able to add tiny Rasboras (5).

But Micro Rasbora species are hard for most people to find. Chili Rasboras are one species.

Or you can do a single Betta and maybe Ghost Shrimp.

Do a Dwarf Crayfish and a small fish tank. Maybe Scarlet Badis? That could work, if the Scarlets aren't too much smaller than the crayfish. Or you could do RCS with a male Scarlet Badis, that way he gets a steady food supply from any shrimp and the ovulation is kept in check.
