small yoyo loach and rcs

I'm getting some fire reds next week and I was really hoping to add them to my community tank. But have read that yoyos love to eat them. My yoyo is currently less than 2 inches. Probly closer to 1.5. Is he still a threat at that size?
I am aware that all fish will eat babies but it's the adults I'm worried about.

I don't know for sure but I think it would be a danger to your costly shrimp as your Loach will for sure get bigger.

The rule is if it could fit in his mouth it is food! But with loaches, I think this one eats snails, they could likely bite a RCS. Dwarf shrimp are recommended to be specie only, although there are some kinds of tank mates which are OK.

The more expensive the shrimp the less likely you want them to become snacks for other fish, or stressed out and not breeding well, or allow other fish to dirty the tank and mess with your water parameters!
