Snails

I have 4 Apple snails 1 ping pong ball sized black 1 quarter sized gold 1 nickel sized blue and a penny sized ivory in a 10 gallon tank with 3 guppies and none of them are laying eggs!! ? here is the tank
It has a glass lid and the parameters are ammonia = 0 ppm PH = 7.2. My question is why aren't they laying eggs? Shouldn't they, if there is no male around, lay infertile eggs?

They only lay eggs if you have a male and female. They won't lay infertile eggs

Ok so then I only have females ? also will they clean their shells? I have a pic of my golden doing it

Yeah they clean their shell's. Maybe if your lucky your small snail could be a boy!
By the way lovely looking snail and good pic of it

I've read that you need a lid otherwise your snails will escape but my snails have never even gone half way out of the water and I've had them awhile. Does anyone have an idea why that is?
