Berried Tangering Tiger!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG I'm so excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That is sooooo exciting.

I have a couple little ones probably from the berried one or 2 I saw. Can't tell very easily since it is a jungle tank with all the left over plants thrown into that tank!

Though at the moment, I am a little disappointed not seeing more berried TT since I did see several saddled! Home has been hectic and work busy so my spare time is little. I will try the end of the week to catch up on all the parameters of tds and all to see if I could make it a bit more comfortable for them.

A couple days ago I did a big feed and slightly cooler pwc to encourage them. :brows: to be happy.

I think later once the tiny little person who lives in my house ;) goes to sleep I might try and get out my real camera instead of my phone. They're still really small- not babies but still definitely juvenile

From the, in the container pic, you can see the color better, they are smaller and look nice. Congrats on the new additions!

Looking forward to more pics!

Very cool pics, something to look forward to seeing in my own tank. They are noticeably different than RCS even at a young age.

You'll probably see a whole bunch of them when they're bigger. The "jungle tank" is probably best for shrimp breeding I think, even if you don't find them easily.

My tank is sitting at 330 ppm TDS, zero nitrogens, 75 - 77 C, pH 8.1-8.2. I have it near a window so it gets partial sunlight during the day to compliment the 10000K lighting. I am hoping to grow a little algae but the otos and shrimp seem to keep it under control.

I noticed that a 10% water change (2 gallons/20 gallon tank) induces a large number of molts in all three shrimp species RCS, TT's and GB. I often find a berried shrimp after those molts. GB not doing very well anymore, but that's a post for another day. I think I only have about 2 or 3 left.

PWCs are with 220-250 ppm TDS water, so the overall TDS keeps dropping by ~5% each change and that might be stressing out the GBs. Tap water here is 450+ ppm, so I am diluting it 1:1 with distilled water. While that's great for the TT's, it may not be so good for GB. I am considering getting a 5.5 gallon going for the GB's just using my tap water. I don't really have enough GBs left to justify their own tank though, so we'll see. I don't think I can shell out for another purchase for a few months.

Hard to get a decent pic, really trying to but they move around so much it's nearly impossible. I have a few in my album I should probably post here.

Btw I really thought I'd lose the TT's, so I am really excited to see a berried one. That's just not what I expected.

Long over due updates

Changed the tank because I might need it for a different project. Removed them from the Mr. Aqua and put them into a Edge 6.6G

Ran out of energy but need to ad a bunch more plants and put the Pinto Anubias back onto the DW in back. Might move all these guys over to a 12G Edge that I recently cleaned out but haven't decided yet.
