Three days ago I bought some new mystery snails for my tank. I had one left when its friend died a few weeks ago. I felt bad so I got it a couple friends. Well, I come in last night and my old snail and the one of the new snails were mating. So now its a waiting game to see if she'll lay eggs. How long should I wait to lower my water? I don't have a lid on my tank, just mesh covering so the splashing from the filter gets loud when the water goes down. I have almost an inch of waterline but I'm going to lower it a little more. Here's a pic of them in their private moment :)

mine layed as soon as i lowered my water line. six times...good luck:) my first is in the process of trying to hatch:flowers:

Today I added some water to my tank (before looking in it) and immediately I noticed there was eggs on the side. I pulled the water back out but they went under for a little bit. Will they be ok? They were under for maybe a minute, maybe a hair longer.

I'm sure they'll be fine, they have to stay humid so they need to be close to the waterline as is. I'm sure a wave here and there will splash up on them.

Especially since she placed the egg sack right behind where the water comes out of my filter, lol.

Lol yep momma knows best, so don't worry bout it.

Well I may have more coming. I saw the same yellow snail with my black snail. Looked like they were mating but he may have just been catching a ride, they were where I couldn't get a good look at them. It's just a little clutch. Only one so far about an inch long.
