what are these things?

Hi!

I recently bought new plants and have since discovered these things scooting around, any idea what they are?

They're in the snail family. They eat algae.

Just got into the hobby and bought some plants as well, and I've been seeing these exact same things attaching to my glass.
Don't worry, they're harmless! It's all part of the ecosystem.

If you get too much though, you can add some nerite snails to eat them or you could just control their population by removing them.
