What did I get?

A few months ago I got some new shrimp and we had another tag along in the bag. I don't see him that much since he's very shy and always hiding in my driftwood. Today, I got back from vacation and I feel like he's nearly doubled in size and his colors are wayyyy more intense, but I honestly don't even know what type of invert he is. Anyone?

Crayfish maybe? Woodshrimp? Bamboo shrimp? Hard to tell.

I was thinking maybe a crayfish but I know absolutely nothing about them so I wasn't sure. I'm pretty sure it's not a shrimp though. It's for some pretty intense looking claws.

It could be a wood shrimp.

Wood shrimp really just have fan appendages on their legs, not actual claws like seen in the picture. I would guess that it is a crayfish of some sort.

Crayfish. Looks like a very young one too. Will grow huge and will start to eat your plants... I would definitely recommend separating him.
