What to feed RCS to make them have bright red colour

What do you guys feed your RCS to make them have a bright red colour?
ATM I feed them crushed discus granule food but was wondering if there is anything else out there that would improve their colour

Thanks

Color is determined mainly through genetics. A dark substrate will also help.

I do have a dark substrate but I'm assuming food plays a role as since I have started feeding them the discus granules they have coloured up quite a bit compared to what they were
But the only thing is everytime I need to feed them I need to crush the granules in the tank as these float at the top which gets quite annoying to do with each granules

He's being sarcastic. And I currently house 12 different color morphs of shrimp and their color is like 90% genetics. You go and buy low grade RCS you'll never get them to look like PFR's even if you feed them lamb chops from Jesus.

I supplement with this. I think the spirulina helps with color.

I kid. I kid.... I think the trick is getting a higher grade to begin with. They come in all colors and intensities
