will my ghost shrimp nip my bettas fins?

I just bought a betta to add to my 10 gallon tank with 8 ghost shrimp. Hes gonna be the sole fish and have to whole tank to strech his beautiful fins in. Im kinda worried that if he goes to the bottom the ghosts will pick on him cuz hes still pretty small. Has anyone had any experience with this happening?

I think it's more likely that your Betta will pick on the shrimp regardless of size. Some do well with shrimp though

Im especially wondering about when hes sleeping tho?

I wouldn't imagine a shrimp to be aggressive especially one so small

I would say that you don't have to worry about it. I'm planning on ghost shrimp with my Betta, and plenty of people on here told me it would be fine, the Betta eating the shrimp was the main concern.

My bettas still pretty small and he doesn't bother the shrimp nor do the shrimp bother him and I don't think the shrimp acknowledge the betta at whenever ive looked the shrimp are just scavenging at the bottom

I agree. Ghost shrimp don't really have the hardware to do much damage to a live fish anyhow even if they wanted to.

My male betta made three shrimp disappear within two weeks.

Tbh. I wouldnt be too dissapointed if the shrimp disapeared
