Man, at the rate I am asking questions.. I'll be able to actually answer some soon!!!

Will a 100W heater fry my 10G if I keep it on the lowest setting?? I have an extra one, and would like to save the cost of buying a mini heater.. I know it probably won't work.. but I thought maybe someone had tried it before.. Thanks!

if its a decent heater, with a reliable thermostat, it'll be fine. it'll run less often, and heat quickly. it'll take up a lot of room, but otherwise it's fine.

FYI, always buy heaters online. LFS prices are 2-3 times as much as big als or drsfostersmith.com

I have a 100 watt visitherm stealth heater on my 10 gal qt tank and it works great regulates temp to +or- 1 degree. plus a 100 watt heater is good upto 20 gal I do believe so if you ugrade you tank size to a 15 or 20 gal you can reuse the 100 watt heater in it.
