I am getting ready to build an out door pond . What I was wanting to know is can I use a liner from a swimming pool ? My brother has a inground pool , he had to put a new liner in , (the top edge tore ) so I have a huge liner and could build a huge pond  Would this work ?

Well, you need to fiind out exactly what it's made of. some swimming pool liners are made with algaecides added to the liner. you wouldn't want that in your pond, it could kill your fish and/or plants. If its just regular EPDM liner, same stuff used for pond liners, then go for it.

Is this extra from the new one, or something from the old one? If it is the old one, I would hesitate because chemicals could have built up over the years. I would say wash it well and try it. Stock your poind with feeders, if they die then just put in a new liner.
