My gold fish died

We found
Out they were breeding then found both bodies dead in the morning
No egg yet
Water was normal no ammonia
No nitrate...the bad 1
20 nitrates .....the good1
7-7.5 pH
Why did they die

Your pH was bouncing between 7 and 7.5? That's stressful to fish in general, and if you ask some, 7 isn't hard enough for goldfish. Do you mean 0 nitRITES and 20 nitRATES? If so, those numbers aren't bad. What size tank is it? What's your water change schedule like?

29 gallon. Temp they were going in a pond soon

What were they doing before they died? I don't know much about sick fish, but with more info somebody might chime in

Well Bruc was building a nest or something the girl was acting normal I thought she was bloated but when she was dead dad said she had eggs not bloating

gold fish don't build nests and if there big enough to breed they should not be in anything close to a 29 gal tank a 100 gal is pushing its limits
 
They were 5. Inches and going in a pond in a day when the ye died and he was moving rocks around building a nest
