I noticed the tail of one my Cory cats hanging out of my large orandas mouth! I got the Cory out of his mouth and the cat swam off. My question is this... is my oranda going to die from the poison of the Cory cats spinal barbs? He seems really lethargic and I am scared he is going to die. He is my favorite fish is there anything I should do? Help....

Some corydoras species do have a toxin gland at the base of their spines. I don't believe it's a very powerful toxin as compared with other catfish species, but it probably isn't great for your goldfish. I don't know of a way to counteract it if your oranda has indeed been poisoned. I guess just keep an eye on it. Hopefully, the toxin will run its course and be out of your fish's system in a few days.
In the meantime, if your oranda is eating fish, it may be a good idea to remove or rehome your corys so it doesn't happen again.
