I am planning to build an outdoor pond, probally in the spring. What kind of pump do I need to supply the waterfall with water from the pond?

I don't have any details yet. I want to know kind to get when the time comes. I mean like one that has a hose to go up to the waterfall, is their a specific name for that? I'm probally making no sense, sorry!

I think you just need to do a bit of research, as most pumps come out as a hose as you describe. Try looking online for Little Giant Pond Pumps.

Perhaps it's best to choose/budget a pump before building your pond. The further and higher you want the water to pump/move, the stronger pump you need. Our pond, well actually it's more a creek running into a pond, is 10 metres in length and we run a pump that's rated at 5000 litres and hour. This gives us a nice flow.

Investigate pumps first then do the dimensions for you pond. And good luck with it!
