Spot on my Goldfish's Gill?

Today I noticed a white spot on my fancy goldfish's gill. It was never there before so I find it strange. Is there anything wrong with him?
(Sorry for the bad quality, I'll see if I can take a better one.)

Hard to tell from the pictures. If it looks smooth and shiny like the rest of the Gill plate it could just be part of a pigment change. Goldfish can change their colors quite a bit.

If it looks like a hole you might have a problem, likewise if it looks fuzzy like a fungus.

Check out Lymphocystis it might just be popping through. Aka Cauliflower Disease. In and of itself is not deadly, but can grow and impair internal organs, function.
