is there anything special you should do to take fish that have been living in a fish tank inside for a few years to a outdoor pond. or is the float the bag in the water a good method for this. anyone ever kicked there fish out of the house before.

Yea just float the bag, acclimate it a little bit since ponds are harsher than indoor aquariums.

What kind of fish is this?

I first allowed the tank that the fish was in to come down a bit in temp to something closer to that of then pond for a week or so, and then just done the float the bag deal. Never seemed to be too big of a problem.

they are just my gold fish they keep outgrowing there environment
and that is my good excuse to get a pond

Another thing to do is to mix some of the pond water with the tank water in a bucket, then introduce the fish into the bucket for a few minutes before placing them in the pond. This always worked for me.
