turtle pond

well my family made a pond around 2 years ago and right now since its winter our fish are in a 100 plastic stock tank for the winter and this summer im thinking of trying to put a turtle in the pond
would this work?

Maybe. Turtles and fish are never really a good mix, since turtles can be aggressive and hurt/eat the fish. My other concern would be the turtles slashing your liner with their claws trying to dig or climb out. You would also have to worry about your turle walking away and spreading diseases to wild species.

Aside from the turtle escaping, if you have large predatory birds or raccoons in your area, he may be lunch before long, unless you erect a pond protection fence.
