Hi all,
I have 3 ADFs living with two neon tetras in a 7 gallon tank. The froggos get fed once a day (variety - pellets, raw salmon, bloodworms, shrimp, their all time favorite boiled chicken), despite the instructions I get everywhere to feed them twice a day. They eat quickly and to the last bite, there are never any leftovers.
My concern is - they poop so much. The tank is always dirty. I feel like I'm always scooping dirt out. I clean the filter once a month and it's a lot of debris (my plants are very grateful). I end up doing 50% water changes every week because I worry the froggos are swimming in super dirty poop water.
Attaching photo for visual assist.
Do any of you have the same experience? The non-stop cleaning and much more gunk than expected to be produced by three tiny creatures?
The tank has a pretty good filter, Supreme Ovation 380, I feel it does a great job, but the cleanup is still as though I'm keeping hyppos, not frogs!
