African clawed frogs

I currently have my frogs in a 20 gallon long fish tank and I soon will get getting a 55 gallon fish tank that is not long. To my understanding the frogs cannot have a high water height becuase they need to go up for air. My question is what is the highest water height they are able to survive in?

You have to adjust the water when you put your frogs in 55 is high tank
I'm going with the 40gal. Breeder tank
