HELP -NEED ADVICE

My axolotl (I had for 3yrs now) not sure how old it actually is as we found it in an Esky, has recently developed this lump between its back two legs. Has anyone seen this before & how do I treat it please? NO

Hi and welcome to the forum :)

Congratulations, it's a boy.

No need to treat him. He has reached sexual maturity and the water is warming up, and he is coming into breeding condition.

I noticed those bulges on my two pink boys when were about 8 months old.

Not a good photo. They're in a darkened room and my IPad doesn’t do dark well.

It's actually really bad if yr AXOLOTOL has this. If they have just reply to me and I'll send you the information regarding the condition. It can be terminal

Can you please post it openly or provide a link that could educate others? Thanks.
