Exclamation Filthy Frogs

I have tried everything and the struggle is real. I have 4 ACFs, small right now so they're in a 20 gallon long but they are SO dirty, despite daily vacuuming & weekly water changes, I cannot keep the water clear. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions. I've tried sponge filters, can't afford a canister filter (& they look kind of difficult) & have 2 hob reptofilters that I like, as they're quiet & small. What if I used a filter sponge in the bottom of the filter, then some aquarium food & bio media on top. Would that help keep the water clearer, is there a better solution, or am I destined to have constant cloudy water?

While i essentially know nothing about frogs, there might be something to be done about water clarity.

Could you give some more details on your tank.

How long has the tank been set up?

Do you know your water parameters?

When you say cloudy what precisely do you mean? Like milky white colouration? Tea coloured water? Green water? Bits floating about in the water?

Could you post a photo of your tank?
