Tank check for Eastern Painted Turtles

Hello all, im the new guy here and have a question. I recently got two eastern painted turtles about the size of a silver dollar and need advice on water quality. I have them in a 10 gallon tank with a power filter and have been testing the water with a API Master aquarium test kit. They have been in the tank for 4 days and seem to be doing really good, eating well. Im a little confused with m test results. They are

Temp. 75
Ammonia 0.50ppm
Nitrates 5.0
Nitrites 0
pH 7.4

Is this normal of a 4 day old tank for turtles? I would expect Nitrites would be higher. I had these same readings yesterday and did a 30% water change but today the only difference is the pH, yesterday it was 7.8.

Research the nitrogen cycle, this applies to any aquatic setup.You also need a bigger tank like now. Check craigslist
