Turtle food

Hi all I have recently bought what I believe are two northern map turtles even though the lfs didn't sell them as such. I have set up so they have some aquatic plants and there was loads of snails in the tank before I added them. At the moment the only food im am adding is pellet food. Will this sustain a turtle as long as I keep the aquatic plants in the tank topped up? I'm not really a fan of feeding live but happy to get any meats or veg people recommend

That's definitely a map . And the pellets are a good staple, you can give him mealworms, crickets as a live food treat or the freeze dried krill as well. Some people say feed minnows but feeders are never really healthy

What sort of map do you think it is? Do you think chicken and king prawns are ok as a treat?

Looks like a northern map. Idk if I'd feed it chicken but the prawns should be good

You can feed certain veggies I do it just google it
