1 yr old 65gal tank problems!

I have had my salt reef tank for a little over a year now and I canNOT get anything to live other than fish in it. Have tried corals a few different times and always they have died.

I have had my salt reef tank for a little over a year now and I canNOT get anything to live other than fish in it. Have tried corals a few different times and always they have died.

A little more info on the tank...
•HUGE green algae problem forever and trying to fix now
•I have a banded shrimp which I am just now figuring out is aggressive because it killed my spiny urchin and my new starfish
•Main lights are on 7hrs a day, dusk/dawn lights are on 9hrs, and the moon lights are on 24/7
•lots of live rock and sand
•I use reef crystals and RO water
