So I've been playing around with my daughters ten gallon tank... We have had a disasterous time keeping the panda corys alive... But then again, when I bought them they seemed really thin and just not well kept to begin with. So, what started off with as five fish in my tank... Now I only have two. A pearl gourami that will be moved to my 55 gallon, and one panda cory that is probably going to go the same way.

It is a standard 10 gallon tank with a stock light. I have a heater and a Top Fin 10 filter on it. I'd probably upgrade to an Aqua Clear 30 filter. I would need sand, salt, and live rock.

What else would I need to convert this tank to a saltwater tank?

What would be one or two fish, along with a shrimp, to put in there that are great for beginners? I've heard conflicting info with the clowns... Some say a pair is fine in a 10 gallon, others say its a big no-no.

Maybe just a goby with some cleaner shrimp?

I agree, maybe a clown goby and a bunch of inverts but for sure not a pair of nemo clown fish. :)
