100 Long

The wife and I are still in discussions about the built in tank I am designing. She doesn't want it to extend out beyond the depth of the current wall inset, which limits me to less than a 24" depth. I have just over 6ft available and I am considering a 100 Long (72"x18"x19") which will keep her happy. However, can I keep a smaller tang in this 6 footer? I am thinking something like the Powder Brown rather than the Bristletooth.
There is only a 5" depth difference between the 125 and the 100 long. Think it would work?

I'm pretty sure it will be ok... They like long tanks I hear, and people usually say a 6 foot tank is needed. Just what I've read on here tho, I'm not speaking from experience.
