I am looking to build a stand for a 210 gallon reef. Based on its measurements, I've found that a pair of kitchen cabinets are the exact measurements of the tank and are over $200 less than an actual aquarium stand. Do you all think strength would be an issue?
It depends on the cabinets...but I do know that most cabinets aren't made to support such wait, just to look nice. Because of that, the sides and such are made of cheap wood. Not something I'd attempt with such a large tank when you could just screw 2x4's together and do it yourself pretty cheap.
