40B coming to life

I've had my tank set up for 7 weeks and it finally cycled about 2 weeks ago. First I add two orchid Dottybacks that someone gave me and in a few days all my levels went back to 0. Now I've added two clowns, one scooter bleny, a few turbo snails and other snails, and I bought two different corals. One has two different zoas and the other had a mix of zoas, a mushroom, and a few small things I'm not sure what they are. So far everything looks great I'm keeping an eye on my levels and I keep noticing new forms of life in my DT.

I really like your rock work. It seems.... simple and nice all at the same time. I never personally considered just a mountain in the center of a tank before.

Sadly, it might be a wise choice to rethink the scooter blenny. I bought one for my brand new tank and quickly realized that a new tank can't support one as they have similar requirements to a mandarin

I mainly piled it high because I have a low watt led and I wanted to make sure I got my corals as high as I could. Plus it's all the live rock I have at this point. Ill leave it as is for now and possibly rebuild my pile down the road. Ya when I bought my scooter I didn't know they only ate Copepods. He will eat sinking pellets too if I can get them to sink in front of him. Lol ill see what happens and maybe return him if he won't eat. But I have a lot of Copepods so maybe he'll be fine. My sump is loaded with them.

My scooter eats frozen brine and mysis shrimp. None of my fish will eat pellets or flakes for some reason. Not even my clowns

We have a 40b planted tank... Put a lot of time, research, effort, and money into it and love it. It's a great tank size IMHO. Just set up a 25 gallon saltwater tank with a 10 gallon sump/refugium and 27 pounds of LR. Now, I sit and look at my planted tank and imagine how incredible it would look as a saltwater full of rock, sand, and coral.
