My blue mushroom was attacked by my Emerald crab. Moved the blue mushroom to the refugium for safety sake.

My ricordea is not as nice as the photo anymore. I saw it devastated by one of my peppermint shrimp. Never ever heard of that happening before. About 1/4 of it is surviving.

Calcium is 500 ppm. Alkalinity is 5.3. Magnesium is 1125. pH is 8

Those frags look really mad. I'd think the crab and shrimp were just cleaning off what was dead, the shrimp especially since there is t an aggressive bone in their body.

My ricordea is gone and my peppermint shrimp ate it. I did a peppermint shrimp / ricordea search and this has happened to others as well.

Saw my emerald crab attacking my leather coral yesterday. You can see the claw marks. Read that emerald eat algae when small but their diet changes when they get older and they need more protein.

The ricordea was cool and would glow nicely under the actinic.

The emerald crab has been exiled to the refugium. The remnant of the blue mushroom has been brought back to the display tank.

My 55 reef. New Green Candy Cane. And my star polyps after being in the tank for a week.

Bought a Royal Gramma and a Fighting Conch. The Conch is awesome and makes the sand look pretty. The gramma disappeared after a month. Haven't found it on the floor or anywhere else. Leather corals growing like crazy. Will post photos soon. Can hardly wait till Coralprops does their open house. Planning on getting torch coral, ricordea and mushrooms.

Updated photos.

I had a royal gramma as well and it disappeared. couldnt find it anywhere. I have a feeling it just died and the cuc took care of it. never found it...

Changed the tubes on my refugium today. 1 8000k and 1 10000k tube. Did a 20% water change. Bought new charcoal and filter bag. I use the filer bag to catch junk coming out of the refugium.

My stylophora with nice polyp extension. Looking forward to getting more SPS.

Ordered 100.00 of product from reefs2go.com. Sea lettuce and red gracilaria, and 250 amphipods for the refugium. 100 blue leg crabs, 20 red leg crabs, 2 porcelain crabs, two brittle stars. The brittle stars died horribly due to a botched acclimating. I acclimated them all together which meant the crabs fouled the water and it shocked the brittle stars. Hoping the new macro algae takes off. In a coral weeks going to be going with my son to coralprops and see what kinds of cool corals we can get. I really like my corals.
