I started out last week battling cyano. I cut down on the lighting and added flow. I left for two days and now the cyano is worse. I now have 1ppm ammonia, evidently something died over the weekend... I got new zoos last week and some of them are turning clear at the base is this the problem?

The cyano got worse, I suspect it will continue until the ammonia cycles through. my pH is a little low too. Is this normal?

I'm doing water changes (10-20%) once a day till the ammonia goes down, should I increase this? I'm going to do a massive change tonight to get to to .25 ppm or so.

I have a 2.5 gallon, that's pretty much empty but should be cycled, it has no life in it. Should I move the zoos there until the dye off is complete? The tank has been cycled for a little over a month. It's a 5.5 gal.

Thanks
