Good morning, i need some knowledge as to why i had a spike in ammonia. I am currently cycling my tank, i have no fish at this point, only snails. Everything was looking good on Thursday, 3-31-22, and then yesterday 4-3-22, i noticed my snails not moving. I tested my ammonia and the level was around 3.5. I've tested it multiple times during my cycle, and it had dropped to almost 0 for the last 10 days. I have not added anything to the tank since the snails almost 2 weeks ago. Any ideas on what would cause a spike like this, especially since there was no food source added?

Redsea reef mature kit. I've followed the instructions to a T.

The Red Sea Reef Mature has an ammonia source additive. That’s how your tank cycles is from exposure to it. The Bacto Start is what simulates natural waste.
