Epoxy can be used for a more permanent bond. Look for aquarium safe epoxy.

Super glue gel is not nearly as permanent or sturdy; but can be useful in certain situations.

Check your LFS. Home Depot and Lowes also sell some epoxy. One brand even says safe for aquarium use. Can't remember tbh.
